Kirk Lothian Photography, well what can we say!
When we approached Kirk to be our wedding Photographer, we were immediately impressed by his professionalism.
From the planning of which photos we were wanting to the execution of them, he made them happen. From the outset Kirk made us feel relaxed during a usually very stressful time, so it was great to know we could rely on him to make sure the photography was one less thing to worry about!
Kirk arrived promptly and silently, managing to capture loads of natural photos that we were otherwise un-aware of, these turn out to be the most special! Kirk organised the groups of people for the photos in a patient manner, which is always important when with the elderly and young. Kirk has an eye for detail and saw the potential in our surroundings, managing to pick out the best locations to take the photographs.
Wedding photography isn't just about taking photos, it's about capturing feelings and memories...something which Kirk achieved. Can't thank him enough for providing us with images of the best day of our lives!

We asked Kirk to be our wedding photographer without hesitation, as we knew he’d capture what we wanted. I was photographed by Kirk at The Record Factory in Glasgow before a show. Not only did he bring me a bottle of whisky but the relaxed mood he created meant we got some incredible portrait shots. He's so easy to work with and gives great direction, all the things you want really as a musician with no clue of how to pose for a photograph.

I've played with many bands , from the Incredible String Band to Eric Faulkner's Bay City Rollers. So I've been photographed by a lot of people. Kirk is definitely up in the top 3. He knows exactly what kind of shot he wants and communicates that with calm efficiency. No time is wasted. I know a lot of artistes he has photographed who also rave about him. Kirk takes great pix!

I needed a photograph taken for a charity calendar . Kinda "Calendar Girls" image if you will, and having never done anything like this before I was naturally very nervous . Kirk offered very kindly to take the photos of me. The photos had to look like I wasn't wearing clothes ( I had a bikini on though ) , Kirk was so relaxed and just made me feel so comfortable and confident . The photos were stunning and I couldn't believe how easy the whole thing was . I would highly recommend Kirk for any photographic needs . Very talented and so lovely to work with .

My 11yr old son, Taylor, needed photos for a ballet audition & I was struggling to take even the most basic shot, in any acceptable form . Kirk came to the rescue capturing everything we needed.
My son was perhaps understandably apprehensive at the idea of a photo shoot, anticipating a serious & perhaps rather awkward experience . However Kirk immediately placed him at ease. Soon he was leaping around; he & Kirk comfortably collaborating for the ideal shot . By time up Taylor had had a wonderful time stating it had all been "great fun" & keen to do more!
Huge thanks to Kirk who is clearly technically & artistically very talented, as well as enormously relaxed in his approach to the whole thing. This was very much appreciated by Taylor & myself.
